केंद्रीय कृषि एवं किसान कल्याण मंत्री श्री नरेंद्र सिंह तोमर की अध्यक्षता में आज कृषि भवन में फसलों के संबंध में समीक्षा बैठक का आयोजन किया गया। इस दौरान बताया गया कि इस वर्ष गेहूं में करीब 60% क्षेत्र को जलवायु अनुकूलित किस्मों से आच्छादित करने का लक्ष्य रखा गया है। ऐसी किस्मों से उत्पादन में स्थिरता लाने में सहजता होगी। कृषि मंत्री श्री तोमर ने इस लक्ष्य की प्राप्ति के लिए एक निगरानी समिति का गठन करने का सुझाव दिया।

खरीफ फसलों के प्रदर्शन एवं अनुमानित उपज के संदर्भ में यह बताया गया कि मानसून की देरी से आमद और अगस्त माह में कम बरसात से फसलों की बढ़वार प्रभावित हुई, किंतु सितंबर में मानसूनी वर्षा ज्यादातर प्रदेशों में सामान्य रहने से खरीफ का उत्पादन अधिक प्रभावित नहीं होने की संभावना है।
रबी की बुवाई के संदर्भ में बैठक में विभागीय अधिकारियों ने बताया कि मृदा में नमी की औसत मात्रा अच्छी है और बुवाई का कार्य सुचारू रूप से चल रहा है। रबी में औसत 648.33 लाख हेक्टेयर की खेती होती है। वर्तमान समय तक करीब 248.59 लाख हेक्टेयर की बुवाई हो चुकी है। विशेष तौर पर गेहूं में इस वर्ष करीब 60% क्षेत्र को किस्मों से आच्छादित करने का लक्ष्य है। ऐसी किस्मों से उत्पादन में स्थिरता लाने में सहजता होगी। कृषि मंत्री श्री तोमर द्वारा इस लक्ष्य की प्राप्ति के लिए निगरानी समिति गठित करने के सुझाव पर विभाग द्वारा जल्द ही कार्यवाही की जाएगी। Courtesy - PIB
चुनाव आयोग ने हाल ही में बताया कि 5 राज्यों में चुनाव के ऐलान के बाद से अब तक करीब 1760 करोड़ रुपये का बेहिसाब कैश जब्त किया गया है. यह 2018 में इन 5राज्यों से मिले कैश का 7 गुना ज्यादा है.
तेलंगाना में विधानसभा चुनाव प्रचार के बीच पुलिस ने गुरुवार को रंगारेड्डी जिले के गच्चीबाउली से एक कार से पांच करोड़ रुपये बेहिसाबी धन बरामद किया है। गच्चीबाउली पुलिस ने रकम सीज कर कार्रवाई के लिए आयकर विभाग को सौंप दिया है। पुलिस ने इस संबंध में तीन लोगों को हिरासत में लिया है।
पुलिस ने बताया कि बॉटनिकल गार्डन के पास वाहन चेकिंग के दौरान माधापुर की ओर जा रही कार को रोका गया। इस दौरान अधिकारियों को सीटों के नीचे नकदी से भरे बैग मिले। अधिकारियों ने कहा कि हिरासत में लिए गए लोग जब्त धन के स्रोत के बारे में संतोषजनक जवाब नहीं दे पाए।
इससे पहले राचकोंडा पुलिस कमिश्नरेट के हयात नगर इलाके में दो करोड़ रुपये जब्त किए गए थे। एक कार से पांच बैग में नकदी भरकर ले जाया जा रहा था। पुलिस ने नकदी ले जा रहे व्यक्ति को हिरासत में ले लिया।
तेलंगाना में विधानसभा चुनाव के लिए 30 नवंबर को मतदान होगा। पुलिस और अन्य एजेंसियां नकदी, शराब या अन्य वस्तुओं के अवैध हस्तांतरण को रोकने के लिए राज्य भर में कार्रवाई कर रही हैं। जिनका इस्तेमाल मतदाताओं को लुभाने के लिए किया जा सकता है। तेलंगाना में आदर्श आचार संहिता लागू होने के बाद नौ अक्तूबर से अब तक 657 करोड़ रुपये से अधिक की नकदी, कीमती धातुएं, शराब, ड्रग्स और अन्य सामान जब्त किए गए हैं।

उत्तरकाशी टनल हादसा: फिर से शुरू हुई ड्रिलिंग
उत्तरकाशी में सुरंग में फंसे 41 मजदूरों को बचाने के लिए चलाया जा रहा रेस्क्यू ऑपरेशन गुरुवार को रुक गया था। यहां ऑगर मशीन में खराबी आ गई थी। लेकिन अब शुक्रवार को अच्छी खबर यह आई है कि ऑगर मशीन का प्लेटफॉर्म ठीक कर लिया गया है। टनल में ड्रिलिंग का काम फिर शुरू हो गया है और अभी 16.2 मीटर खुदाई बाकी है। ऐसे में उम्मीद की जा रही है कि आज सबकुछ ठीक रहा तो शाम या फिर देर रात तक मजदूरों को बाहर निकाल लिया जाएगा।

धामी ने मज़दूरों से की बात, हौसला बढ़ाया
उत्तराखंड के सीएम पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने गुरुवार को मौके पर पहुंचकर श्रमिकों से बात की और उनका हौसला बढ़ाया। गुरुवार सुबह सुरंग के एंट्री गेट पर स्थित बाबा बौख नाग के मंदिर पर सिर झुकाते हुए सीएम ने उनसे सभी श्रमिकों के जल्द बाहर आने की प्रार्थना की। धामी ने बताया कि राहत और बचाव कार्य युद्धस्तर पर चल रहा है। बचावकर्मी मजदूरों के बहुत नजदीक पहुंच चुके हैं। मजदूरों ने बताया कि वे ठीक हैं। कुछ को बुखार था, किसी को बदहजमी थी, जिसकी उन्हें दवा भेजी गई है। उनकी मनोचिकित्सक से भी बात कराई गई
है।

17वें संयुक्त सैन्याभ्यास सूर्य किरण में हिस्सा लेने के लिए 334 सैन्य कर्मियों वाली नेपाल सेना की एक टुकड़ी भारत पहुंची है। यह अभ्यास 24 नवंबर से 07 दिसंबर 2023 तक उत्तराखंड के पिथौरागढ़ में आयोजित किया जाएगा। यह एक वार्षिक कार्यक्रम है और दोनों देशों में बारी-बारी से आयोजित किया जाता है।
354 सैन्य कर्मियों वाली भारतीय सेना की टुकड़ी का नेतृत्व कुमाऊं रेजिमेंट की एक बटालियन द्वारा किया जा रहा है, वहीं दूसरी तरफ नेपाल सेना की टुकड़ी का प्रतिनिधित्व तारा दल बटालियन कर रही है।
सैन्याभ्यास का उद्देश्य शांति स्थापना अभियानों पर संयुक्त राष्ट्र चार्टर के मुताबिक जंगल युद्ध, पर्वतीय इलाकों में आतंकवाद विरोधी अभियानों और मानवीय सहायता तथा आपदा राहत में संचालन प्रक्रिया को बढ़ाना है। यह सैन्याभ्यास ड्रोनों की तैनाती और ड्रोन-रोधी उपायों, चिकित्सा प्रशिक्षण, विमानन पहलुओं और पर्यावरण संरक्षण पर केंद्रित होगा। इन गतिविधियों के माध्यम से, सैनिक अपनी परिचालन क्षमताओं को बढ़ाएंगे, अपने युद्ध कौशल को निखारेंगे और चुनौतीपूर्ण परिस्थितियों में अपने समन्वय को मजबूत करेंगे।
यह सैन्याभ्यास भारत व नेपाल के सैनिकों को विचारों और अनुभवों के आदान-प्रदान के लिए एक मंच उपलब्ध करेगा, उत्कृष्ट व्यवहारों को साझा करेगा और एक-दूसरे की परिचालन प्रक्रियाओं की गहरी समझ को बढ़ावा देगा।

The United Service Institution of India (USI), established in 1870, is organizing its annual UN Forum 2023 in New Delhi from November 21 to 22. The forum, themed 'International Humanitarian Law and Peacebuilding,' is organized in collaboration with the Red Cross International Committee and the United Nations Peacekeeping Training Centre.
Contemporary UN peace missions are rapidly deployed in volatile conflict zones, emphasizing the importance of adhering to principles of International Humanitarian Law (IHL). While applying IHL standards poses challenges in modern conflicts, addressing the actions of non-state actors, urban warfare complexities, and the blurred lines between combatants and civilians become crucial.
Against this backdrop, the forum aims to facilitate a dialogue on the relevance of implementing IHL frameworks in UN peace campaigns and discuss the implications of boundaries. Sessions will explore topics such as civilian protection, accountability for crimes against peacekeepers, the role of women in peace campaigns, and leveraging technology for more effective operations.
The forum will feature practical perspectives from educators and professionals with direct experience in addressing peacebuilding challenges. Distinguished speakers from the Indian Armed Forces and the Ministry of External Affairs will present keynotes. The forum will span two days with the following sessions:
Session 1: Practicality of IHL principles in peacebuilding amid situations involving non-state actors and urban warfare.

The Ministry of Coal has achieved a notable upswing in overall coal production during the month of October 2023, reaching 78.65 Million Tonne (MT), surpassing the figures of 66.32 MT of the corresponding month last year, registering an increase of 18.59%. The production of Coal India Limited (CIL) has increased to 61.07 MT in October this year as compared to 52.94 MT in October 2022 with the growth of 15.36%. The cumulative coal production (up to October 2023) has seen significant increase to 507.02MT in FY’ 23-24 as compared to 448.49 MT during the same period in FY’ 22-23. Attaining a growth of 13.05%.
The notable surge in both coal production and dispatch underscores the nation's advancing energy self-sufficiency and reinforces our determination to meet forthcoming energy demands. The Ministry of Coal remains resolute in its commitment to ensuring continuous coal production and distribution, thereby securing a dependable energy supply that bolsters the nation's ongoing development.
